Accessibility & Compliance

Kordalis Law Office is committed to ensuring equal digital access for all visitors, including those who use assistive technologies.

Our Accessibility Statement

Kordalis Law Office, LLC is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We actively work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.

Visual Accessibility

  • High-contrast color scheme meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards (4.5:1 minimum ratio)
  • Scalable text — all fonts resize with browser settings up to 200% without loss of content
  • Alternative text on all meaningful images for screen reader users
  • No content conveyed by color alone — icons and text labels accompany all status indicators

Keyboard & Motor Accessibility

  • Full keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable via Tab key
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Skip navigation link to bypass repeated header content
  • No keyboard traps — users can always navigate away from any component

Screen Reader & Assistive Technology

  • Semantic HTML landmarks: header, nav, main, footer
  • Proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) on all pages
  • ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and navigation menus
  • Form inputs paired with explicit labels and descriptive error messages
  • Live region announcements for dynamic content changes

Cognitive & Motion

  • Clear, plain-language content throughout the site
  • Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting
  • Consistent, predictable navigation and layout across all pages
  • Sufficient time provided for all timed interactions
